Summary
To involve Movemint in the Bay Area running scene, I proposed a partnership with the SF Community Running Festival. Coming off of a successful, inaugural event in 2023, the SF Community Running Festival is a volunteer-organized free event aimed to strengthen the existing running community in San Francisco made up of 30+ different active running clubs.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
- Meet and greet with different local clubs and runners.
- Free swag, shoe demos, and snacks.
- Panel discussions on topics centered around increasing access, inclusion, and diversity within the running community.
PARTNERSHIP REASONS
- Based in Movemint’s backyard.
- Related to an endurance sport of interest: running.
- Had proven experience with event registrations with previous local events and organizers.
- Event had an expected participant size of a couple hundred.
Ownership
Established a clear connection between the event and Movemint, with Movemint as the event’s registration partner. I also amplified promotions in the lead-up to the main event with social content, newsletter inclusions, and giveaways at hype events.
RESULTS
- 1K+ event registrations, 3x of 2023’s numbers
- 3 new partnerships with SF running clubs that host paid events
- 50+ new followers on Movemint’s IG
